Insulation underneath trailer -- a problem?

Has anyone seen this before? These are two views of the underneath of my '68 Aristocrat LoLiner. In the first, you clearly see the ragged edges of insulation. Does this not create a risk of wetness...

Fiberglass insulation does wick water and best to fix the problem Fiberglass insulation also makes good nesting material for mice. Personally I would remove all of it and inspect the frame for damage...

It looks like someone added insulation under there,my Aristocrat has nothing under it but the wood floor, I would pull it all out, it won't help insulate the trailer from heat or cold.

I thought the same thing as wncol - Not off roading - Mice. I would pull it out. Wear a good dust mask - and long sleeves if not a total haz mat suit - that stuff will make you itch for days.... :-P...

I agree, it's been added. Roberta's pictures are perfect to show what's in the floor originally. If yours is attached firmly, no reason you couldn't wait until later to remove it. VK

I used foam in the Hanson, Charles. It really works well; if you cut it a hair large, it will stay put. Could tell the difference at the rally-the Fantastic Fan and insulation kept my trailer...
